TOY BOX THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS WORTH HOUSE
Toy Box Theatre Company proudly opens its 11th season with Worth House, a new play by Ryan Reilly, directed by Ken Urso.
The Glass Menagerie meets TV's Roseanne in this darkly comedic family drama set in 1989 on Chicago's southside. Worth House tells the story of what it was like growing up with a father addicted to two things: alcohol and his family.
Synopsis: Steve is in the doghouse...again. (Well, actually he's in a tent in the backyard.) A recovering alcoholic's act of bold determination, or just a pathetic last resort? His wife is over it. His 9 year-old son just wants to join him for S'mores. A story of last chances and knowing when to finally call it quits.
