Are the positive outcomes of investing in girls' education coming to pass? If not, why and how do we fix that? Asante Africa is hosting a panel discussion focused on how we can accelerate the reduction of inequality in education and promote research-based development that actually fuels economic growth. Our panel of experts will explore:
-Have development efforts to date actually resulted in meaningful quantitative change for women and girls? -How can we ensure efforts are sustainable so that women can thrive as well as men, even in highly patriarchal societies? -How can successful initiatives be scaled across ethnic and regional boundaries? -Which advocacy and education policy initiatives have proven effective to reduce gender disparity? -How do we truly move the needle toward urgently needed large scale impact?
We will leverage the expertise and experience of thought leaders from the education, policy, and advocacy sectors, as well as on the ground practitioners to explore collaborative approaches to prioritize girls' education and women's empowerment and thus lead to a nation's economic prosperity.
