RAW presents The Book by Erika Tsimbrovsky and Vadim Puyandaev
The Garage San Francisco, CA
Sep 18 RAW (resident artist workshop) presents The Book by Erika Tsimbrovsky and Vadim Puyandaev present The Book is a series of structured, multimedia improvisation performances investigating the inner world of the artist and the artist's relationship with a society of a rational and technological age. Each performance is a random page from The Book, and each performance invites a new guest artist to enter the created structured improvisation in order to destroy it and give it new life. In The Book we allow our personal stories to enter the performance space. The book is a diary. It is a kaleidoscope of sketches, snippets of thoughts, debris of feelings, shadows of memories, echoes of sounds that we once heard. This world pulses with unshaped ideas and unformed beauty, and that world is compelling. Conceived and directed by choreographer Erika Tsimbrovsky and visual artist Vadim Puyandaev.
