3rd event in 2010 Green Business Networking Luncheon series
Spokane Club Spokane, WA
The Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE) is North America's fastest growing network of socially responsible businesses. They're showing that independent locally owned businesses can go beyond traditional measures of success, proving that these businesses are accountable to stakeholders and the environment. They're helping these businesses flourish in their local economies. And they're leveraging the power of local networks to build a web of economies that are community-based, green, and fair local living economies.
Guest speaker Michelle Long co-founded Sustainable Connections in Bellingham and took over as Executive Director of BALLE last Fall. She was recently named one of the west coast's "top five leading ladies of sustainability" by the Sustainable Industries
Journal.
Menu: Locally grown baby lettuce with basil dressing, fresh made fettuccini, Oregon wild mushrooms, fresh herbs, American parmesan. $15
Guest speaker, followed by group discussion of whether a BALLE network in Spokane could provide the support your business needs to succeed while going green.
