LEAVES
The Playwrights' Center Minneapolis, MN
Six people are brought together by the death of a great man. As the funeral approaches, they struggle to understand themselves, each other, and what it means to be American in the twenty-first century. Inspired by the work of Walt Whitman, the poet who defined America's soul, LEAVES is a world premiere play with music and poetry (both old and new) collaboratively created by Savage Umbrella.
Ensemble: Amber Davis, Russ Dugger, Emily Dussault, Bryan Grosso, Laura Leffler-McCabe, and Katherine Moeller.
Written by the ensemble, along with Thomas Borger & Tanner Curl and featuring live music by Candace Bilyk & Ben Mattson
