5th Annual Walk to Defeat Sickle Cell Disease

Please join us at Seward Park in Seattle on Sept. 18th for the 5th Annual Walk to Defeat Sickle Cell Disease. Sickle Cell Disease is an inherited disease of the red blood cell. This fundraiser for the Metropolitan Seattle Sickle Cell Task Force (a non profit organization) is to raise money for the local Sickle Cell Camp held on Vashon Island, WA where 50+ children ages 8 to 18 get to experience camp at no charge to the families, the Gertrude Dawson Scholarship which assists local people with Sickle Cell with tuition assistance for college\trade school and out community outreach programs in an effort to educate our community about Sickle Cell Trait\Disease, advocate for those with Sickle Cell Disease. Please join us on Sept. 18th, doors open at 10am with the walk beginning at noon.
