A TIME TO DANCE by Libby Skala
The Marsh San Francisco, CA
The story of a pioneering Austrian who transcends poverty, artistic repression and the rise of Hitler through the magic of dance. Skala offers glimpses into the rich life and inexhaustible spirit of her great aunt Elizabeth Polk. Born in 1902 Vienna, Polk survives withholding parents, WWI, tuberculosis, the Holocaust, a more famous sister (Oscar-nominated Lilia Skala) and ultimately steals the show, proving herself to be the riotous and controversial star of her own life.
âLibby Skala is marvelous!â â" NY Times
