Season 4 Concert 4A - Haydn and his Students II (SF) - The New Esterházy Quartet
Quartets by Haydn, Pleyel, and Beethoven. This concert features a rare period-instrument performance of Beethoven's last quartet, Opus 135. Also on the program: Ignaz Pleyel's genial and sonorous Op. 1, No. 3 and Haydn's beloved Op. 50, No. 5, "The Dream."
