Centennial Weekend Lecture - Michael Kelly
Led by historians, architects, cultural landscape professionals and scholars, the opening centennial lecture series addresses the historic buildings and landscape legacies of the Panama California Exposition.

Michael Kelly The Story of the Panama-California Exposition The 1915 Panama-California Exposition was a daring undertaking for a city of 40,000 people and it would forever change Balboa Park and greater San Diego.
Bio Michael Kelly is a physician who has lived in San Diego since 1972. He did his undergraduate work at Michigan State University and received his MD from the University of Michigan. He is an Editorial Consultant for The Journal of San Diego History and is president of The Committee of One Hundred, working to preserve Balboa Park's historical architecture, gardens, and public spaces.
The Panama-California Exposition Digital Archive project is preserving important documents and images from San Diego's 1915-1916 Exposition for the benefit of the public and for the use of researchers. The Digital Archive was created through the support of the members of the Balboa Park Alliance (The Committee of One Hundred, the Balboa Park Trust at the San Diego Foundation, and the Friends of Balboa Park). The County of San Diego is a major financial sponsor, along with many individual donors. The Digital Archive project was developed and is managed by the Committee of One Hundred.
