Prehistoric Preschool - Museum Explorers, Friday Morning
Prehistoric Preschool is a Museum program for 3-5 year-olds and their adult companions to explore natural history topics in a supportive and fun atmosphere. All activities are child-centered, hands-on, and age appropriate. Classes include two hours of crafts, songs, games, puppet shows, investigating specimens from the Museum's collections, Museum visits, and a fun and healthy snack.
Participants attend all Friday morning classes from 10 a.m. to noon. Note that classes take place every other week.
Fall Session 2: Museum Explorers
Become a junior Museum curator! Explore the dynamic dinosaurs of New Mexico; learn all about our State's contributions to the space race; see what makes a computer work; and discover some of the creepiest creatures that roam New Mexico!
1) Dinosaurs of NM: Triassic, Jurassic, & Cretaceous Halls (October 22)
2) Out of this world: Space Frontiers Hall (November 5)
3) Computer technology: Start-up Hall (November 19)
4) NM creatures: Naturalist Center (December 3)
