Third Friday Astronomy Talks 2015
"Exploring the Southern Skies" Come explore the night sky south of the equator this evening for an hour at the Pacific Planetarium. The southern skies are full of all the "good stuff" according to astronomers the Magellanic Clouds, super star Eta Carinea, the Jewel Box star cluster, super sized Omega Centauri globular cluster, the bright Carinae Nebula, and the center of our galaxy. Experience the views and discoveries from the big southern telescopes. Explore the different constellations south of the equator and enjoy star stories from other cultures, including the Inca and Polynesians. Recommended for ages 8 years and up.

Enjoy our family friendly space science exhibits & activities before and after the show in our Exhibit Hall. Local amateur astronomers from the Olympic Astronomical Society will be present to answer your astronomy questions.
