1. Art of the Baroque Trumpet

Renowned Baroque trumpeter Nathaniel Mayfield is joined by soprano Kathlene Ritch and recorder virtuoso Annette Bauer, in music for the Baroque trumpet.  Featured are works by Torelli, Alessandro Scarlatti, and Handel, plus J.S. Bach's famous solo Cantata 51 for soprano and trumpet.  Celebrated countertenor Ryland Angel also makes a guest appearance.

2. Going for Baroque with the Conspirare Children's Choir

La Follia is delighted to be joined by the superb Conspirare Children's Choir, led by Nina Revering, in Baroque music for the young.  Featured are works by Purcell, JS Bach, Telemann, plus Pergolesi's sacred masterwork Stabat Mater.  Guest soloists are soprano Jennifer Thyssen, mezzo soprano Stephanie Prewitt, and baritone Brett Barnes.

3. Sacred Music of the early German Baroque, with Ryland Angel, countertenor.

Internationally acclaimed and recorded countertenor Ryland Angel joins La Follia in works of the German Baroque by Rosenm├âller and Buxtehude.  If you have never heard the beautiful, other-worldly sound of this unique voice, you are in for a special treat.

4. Bach's Herd of Harpsichords

We guarantee you won't hear a concert like this soon:  concertos by J.S. Bach for 1, 2, 3, and 4 (count 'em!) harpsichords, backed by the La Follia Austin Baroque string ensemble.  Keith Womer, JiMin Kim, Jeffrey Jones-Ragona and William Cory are featured.

Award-winning soprano Angela Malek from San Antonio joins Bass Gil Zilkha and Tenor Jos Milton in a performance of 3 solo cantatas of JS Bach, including the Wedding Cantata and Ich habe genug.  All join in a performance of Bach's joyous secular Coffee Cantata.
