Featuring:

Stage 1

POIRIER
(Montreal, Quebec)
Ninja Tune
PoirierSound.com

Drawing from a wide range of tropical riddims and urban electro, the power of Montreal-based DJ/producer Poirier's, bass blasts through any flimsy attempt to classify his music. Pinpointing the bits and pieces of dancehall beats, soca energy and electronic intensity is futile in the face of Poirier's dance-driven creativity and air horn-worthy excitement.
Although based in Montreal, Poirier is also always movingin just the past few years he has been invited to virtually every continent. Poirier on the bill equals a sure fire jam. No surprise that he's shared the stage with Modeselektor, Diplo, Kode9, Amon Tobin and Toddla T, as well as taken SXSW, Fabric London, Australia's Big Day Out, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and Mexico's Cervantino Festival by storm.

Poirier's signature skill of effortlessly linking disparate genres has led to worldwide collaborations with MCs and DJs from global hip hop, soca, grime, dancehall, booty bass, and more. Electro sensations Crookers, dancehall veteran Burro Banton, the ever-eclectic dj/rupture, London's tough gyal Warrior Queen, and Trinidadian soca master Mr Slaughter have all connected with Poirier, as well as longtime collaborators Face-T and MC Zulu.

Remixes are part of Poirier's powerful repertoire, and he knows just how to pick apart a song and put it back together: bigger and heavier than before. Tracks by Gotan Project, Tommie Sunshine, Pole, Bassnectar and Yoav have all been given the Poirier treatment, garnering him attention from publications such as the Independent, the London Telegraph, Pitchfork, the New Yorker, the Wire and XLR8R.

(Maryanne Hobbs, BBC Radio 1)

Stage 2

KRADDY
(Venice Beach, CA)
Muti Music
MySpace.com/Kraddy

Known for his intuitive ability to carve beats out of the bits, Kraddy has made a name for himself internationally as a producer and a DJ. His releases on Muti Music, Bless Records, Blunted Funk, Digital Distortions and his own label, Refiner Records have set him apart as a producer with a truly extra-ordinary sound.
Kraddy's music implicates cybernetic breaks with asymmetrical dub delays and hip hop grooves with dark ethereal melodies. At times his music is technical and frenetic and calls to mind images of genetically mutated earthworms, poping and locking deep underground to sub atomic frequencies, causing minute shifts in the structure and alignment of the tectonic plates, that over millennia will alter the magnetic core of the planet and thus change its frequency field steering its evolution towards greater harmony and a more peaceful form.
Other times he weaves together webs of moody etheresque clouds akin to the sounds of alternate life forces manipulating hydrogen and carbon molecules into biomechanical nanobots that imperceptibly permeate the neuronets of sleeping subjects from light years away in a methodical attempt to preserve and record the neural, synaptic and chemical makeup of all matter.

MATTY G
(Santa Cruz, CA)
Dub Police
MySpace.com/MattyGBeatz

Matty G, is without doubt the pioneer of the hip hop influenced sub-genre that ever so present in today's flourishing dubstep scene. Since his first release in 06 on US based imprint 'Argon', he has gone from strength to strength building on his sample based 90's hip hop sound and having scene defying tracks along the way all from his studio in Santa Cruz, USA. In 07 came the massive '50,000 Watts' which set the bar for the sub-low 808 sound that many have tried to imitate since and remains a true anthem within the scene to this day. It gained support from the who's who of dubstep royalty including Caspa & Rusko (featuring on their legendary FabricLive compilation), Skream, Digital Mystikz, N-Type & Joe Nice to name a few and also received the remix treatment from dubstep pioneer Loefah, all going towards firmly cementing the track, and Matty G in the history of the sound.
Matty G showed the masses he is as talented behind the decks, touring far and wide playing at such prestigious nights as; DMZ at The Mass in Brixton, Dub Police at Fabric in London and the world famous Glastonbury Festival (the largest music and performing arts festival in the world). Fast forward to 2010 and having just completed a tour of US for Scion AV along with Caspa, The Others, D1 and Rod Azlan, Matty is back in the studio on the best form of his life with numerous tracks doing the rounds and massive releases lined up including a single for Dub Police as well as remixes for Caspa and label mate Subscape.
