A Unique Hawaiian & Native American Indian Cultural Event, celebrating the blended bloodlines of both heritages located in Nisqually (Olympia-Yelm) at 1937 Lashi St. NE; Olympia, WA in the brand new Nisqually Youth and Emergency Center. Red Wing Casino is located a mile away. A two-day festival free daytime admission, and Special Ticketed event Sat, Aug 28 5pm-midnite including the Native American Traditional Salmon Bake and Hawaiian Luau dinner & entertainment by both cultures, followed by a concert with Holunape (award winning Hawaiian Band) and Natalie Ai Kama'uu (award winning Singer/hula entertainer), and local grown Reggae sounds of Ideal Green plus many talented transplanted local hula halau and musicians from Hawaii. Joining in the two day festival are the several Native American Indian tribal canoe dance and drum families. Festivities included Hawaiian and Indian food vendors, arts, crafts, workshops of hula, ukulele, drum making, lei making, cultural demonstrations, lectures and speakers, and culminating with a grand finale of a blended drum circle on Sunday, aug 29. This is one of a kind event you won't want to miss.
