(Reno, NV) On February 8, 2015 Tony DeGeiso will lead a salon discussion in regards to Dramaturgy and Directing in the morning from 10 am to 12:30 PM followed by Holly Natwora leading a Viewpoints Acting Workshop from 1  4 pm at Brüka Theatre.  Each workshop is $20 or $30 for both workshops.  Tickets are available through Bruka Theatre or on www.brownpapertickets.com.

THE VIEWPOINTS WORKSHOP led by Holly Natwora is based on the work created by Anne Bogart.  "Viewpoints" is a technique of composition that provides a vocabulary for thinking about and acting upon movement and gesture and creates staging for the actor and director.  

This workshop is open for ages 15 and up, all levels of performers, and will be held on February 8, 2015 from 1:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Brüka Theatre following Tony DeGeiso Director/Dramturgy workshop as part of Brüka's Artist in The House Series.. Bring water and comfortable, flexible clothing that you can move around in. The workshop is limited to 16 and must have a minimum of 6. The cost for the session is $20. Please reserve your space in advance.

ABOUT THEATRE ARTIST HOLLY NATWORA
Holly received her MFA from Columbia University in NYC and has performed in over 50 plays including two summers at Joseph Papp's New York Shakespeare Festival with Leiv Schreiber and Michael C Hall.  Holly has also appeared in television and film, most notably in Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.  Since moving to Reno in 2005, Holly has performed or directed at the Brüka Theatre, Reno Little Theater, Good Luck Macbeth, and TheatreWorks of Northern Nevada.  Previously, Holly taught a successful auditioning class at UNR in which she incorporated Suzuki and Viewpoint techniques, something she learned first hand while studying with Anne Bogart and her SITI Company members at Columbia.  Holly directed Dangerous Liaisons for Brüka last season and will play the lead role in Good People in May.  Holly is the box office manager and an ensemble artist with Brüka Theatre.

Brüka's Artist In The House Series features local,  regional and national artists presenting their work to further the education and inspiration of the arts in the form of  workshops, discussions and performances for our community.  Past and current artists include:  Mark Growden, Ananda Bena Weber and Cami Thompson.  In 2015 Tony DeGeiso engages with director salons and Holly Natwora presents a Viewpoint workshop on February 8. Mary Bennett will present Improvisation, We will also present a Master Workshop in 2015 and Camie Thompson lending her vocal and coaching talents.  This Season Brüka is also collaborating with Damonte PAC with a playwrighting residency collaborating with Sandra Neace.  

ABOUT BRUKA THEATRE In their 22nd season in downtown Reno, Brüka has been named "Best Theatre Company" by The News and Review seventeen years running.  Brüka Theatre is a leader in the region, recognized for its artists, productions and theatre for children series since it's founding in 1992. ABOUT ARTIST TONY DEGEISO Tony has worked in various Reno Community Theatre's for over 30 years and brings his expertise in directing and dramaturgy to Brüka for all of the 2013/2014 shows and to our Artist In The House Series where he will lead a workshop on directing and dramaturgy for the community.  Tony has directed Art and God Of Carnage at Brüka and will music direct Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson in May of 2014.
