Mommy with a Penis - Theatre Asylum's Best of the Fringe
Mommy With a Penis is a solo play which depicts one manâs journey of marrying and mothering in Los Angeles.
Hutchins Foster and his ex drag queen husband always knew they wanted kids. But since his husband was the one comfortable wearing dresses, Hutchins never thought he would end up being âmommy.â
Now with two demanding children, Hutchins puts his classical theatre training to good use by navigating the treacherous world of carpooling, unclogging toilets and cooking firm food. Resisting at first, but now with a sense of pride, he is mommy with a penis.
Based on personal stories, many from his award winning blog of the same name, Mommy With a Penis explores the pains, the joys, the hilarity of mommydomâ¦from a manâs perspective.
It also introduces the mantra, âCook the meatloaf, drink the martini.â
