Dancing Across Borders - a film by Anne Bass
Fringe aid - raising funds and awareness for the EAHS Drama department who were chosen as one of 75 high schools throughout the nation to perform at the Fringe Festival (the largest theatre festival in the world), in Edinburgh, Scotland, August, 2011. They were chosen by The American High School Theatre Festival Board of Advisors, for their outstanding play writing program, numerous awards and educational philosophy.
The film documents the journey of young Cambodian dancer, Sokvannara (Sy) Sar as he makes his way to eventually dance for the Pacific Northwest Ballet
A reception will be held beginning at 7:00 pm.
Preceding the film, Charya Burt, a Classical Cambodian Dancer/Choreographer, will deliver a special live performance with San Francisco Opera Cellist, Ruth Lane.
