Spanish style lunch Included!

Originally designed for songwriters, this workshop
is perfect for ANYBODY who wants to write more freely and creatively.
All levels welcome.

(Monica will be available for an extra hour specifically for songwriters who are interested in personal song work).

This workshop is designed to break through the blocks and defenses that prevent us from expressing ourselves easily and authentically. Through a series of fun, in-class exercises we will dig though our own memories, experiences and impressions, using prompts and free-writing to inspire us as well as exploring ways to create more powerful and original metaphors in our writing.  The idea is to work on painting pictures with words, using all of our sense memories to describe our narratives more vividly.

Though this workshop was originally designed for songwriters, many non-songwriters and so-called "non-writers" have found the experience to be incredibly satisfying, inspiring and even therapeutic. Monica's workshops are attended by professionals, beginners and everything in-between!
We ALL have stories to tell!

Monica Pasqual is the winner of 6 Independent Music Awards for both her solo album, "This Cold Desire" and with Blame Sally for "Speeding Ticket and a Valentine" and "Live at KVIE Studios".  Her songs have been used on numerous network television shows, she has composed soundtracks for PBS, The History Channel and National Geographic Television and has won six Emmy awards with BZ Lewis for their work with KPIX (CBS) Television.  For the last 14 years Monica has been a member of the popular Bay Area Band, Blame Sally, touring the US and Europe extensively and releasing 8 albums.

Monica is currently recording a new album with her band "Monica Pasqual and the Handsome Brunettes" as well as writing an online serial memoir that you can follow here on Medium.com/@monicapasqual
