The landscape of the workplace is changing. We are all experiencing multiple generations working side-by-side to achieve the
goals of the business. Although this certainly contributes to rich discussion and multiple perspectives, it can also create
challenges in understanding the work styles, preferences and views of others who represent different generations. This session
will focus on Millennials.
Attracting | Incent | Retain
Participants will engage in active discussion about challenges, opportunities and best practices when working and managing
the Millennial generation.
Our Panel Experts:
Diane Amundson is the owner of Diane Amundson & Associates. She works with organizations that want to improve their
communication for increased productivity. She has been training, speaking and consulting for over nineteen years in the areas of
leadership coaching, generational diversity, team building, conflict resolution and strategic planning.
Timothy D. Murray- Professor, Social Entrepreneur, and "CEO Whisperer" Tim launches new businesses with a double,
sometimes a "triple bottom line". Most recently, he launched in 2011, Trinity Sober Homes, providing quality housing and
Catholic faith-based support to recovering alcoholics of all faiths by raising over $1.3 million in donations and creative use of
loan-notes secured by the real estate.
Tim is known for his unique approach to guaranteeing his consulting fees by making a simple promise to all his clients: "You will
be "Absolutely Delighted" or you will get your money back. No small print, no excuses."
Amy S. Tolbert, PhD, CSP, is a Carlson School of Management Executive Education Fellow. She develops multicultural
organizations and individuals through cutting-edge topics, such as multicultural and diversity initiatives, leadership competency
development, managing to style, and creating breakthrough teams. Tolbert has authored a book, Reversing the Ostrich
Approach to Diversity: Pulling your Head Out of the Sand, a timely answer to the renewed urgency for actionable diversity
information. She has also co-authored and presented the "Discovering Diversity Profile," a popular self-assessment tool. Tolbert
earned her PhD in Human Resource Development from the University of Minnesota.
Club Entrepreneur is co-hosted by the Minneapolis Club and Brimacomb and Associates. We meet once a month to network and learn about what other local entrepreneurs are doing both professionally and personally.
