The Riverplains Farm to Table Dinner and Ride
This farm to table dinner will feature a lovely summer dinner under the stars featuring ingredients sourced and grown in Jefferson county and prepared by Jennifer Niceley and Anna Niceley Barreiro. The evening will begin at 7:00 with cocktails. Dinner will be served at 8:00. Each of the 2 savory courses will be paired with wine to be followed by dessert.
Riverplains has been a working farm for many years and part of the Niceley family since the early 1940's. The farm is located in Jefferson County and surrounded on two sides by the Holston river. For decades the farm was an active dairy and recently Jennifer Niceley and her family began producing dairy products, vegetables, and spelt flour for friends and family. Everything on the menu will come from the farm except for the spices and our adult beverages! The spices will be supplied by the Three Rivers Market (www.threeriversmarket.coop)!
If you want to enjoy the summer day even more ride your bike! Bike riders will need to email info@mockingbird-events.com for details. There will be a route leader and meeting place. The ride will be about 30 miles along beautiful backroads. A return shuttle will be provided by our friends at Green Car and Courier (www.knoxvillegreencar.com).
