Melodrama Workout Night

It's a dark and stormy night... and you're in it. And may die... Melodrama joins music and drama using spectacle, gesture, pantomime, bold characters and physicality, heros and villains, the struggle of good and evil. The most expressive of the dramatic forms, we play with high stakes and emotions expressing fully in the body. Unlike method based psychological acting, Melodrama is akin to Artaud's "athlete of the emotions."

Feel free to bring wine/beer for after to share.

Note: Please do not park in the Artworks lot. Street parking free after 7pm. Dress: neutral comfortable clothes you can move in easily, solids, shoes (dance/sneakers) or barefoot, no dangling jewelry, hair off face. Please silence phones during workshop.
