A Renaissance Feast
The Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Houston, TX
With soaring lines and harmonic purity, the music of the Renaissance has long been a favorite of Houston audiences. To open our 15th season, Robert Simpson and the Houston Chamber Choir return to the majestic Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in a program that celebrates such expressive masterpieces as Gegorio Allegri's "Miserere" and Thomas Tallis' "Spem in allium," a 40-part motet. Guest artists from the University of Houston, under the direction of Dr. Betsy Cook Weber, will join us in this unforgettable, one-evening only performance.
