Community Service Day and Potluck Picnic at the Alameda County Food Bank
Slow food community service days are an opportunity for us to get involved and give back to our
different food communities. Join us in taking a break from the table and getting our hands dirty.
The Alameda County Food Bank (http://www.accfb.org) needs our help. Join us in helping to organize
and pack food for those who need it most. After we will move across the way to the Martin Luther
King Jr. Shoreline Park (http://www.ebparks.org/parks/mlk) for a potluck picnic in the sun. Please
bring a dish to share. Coolers and drinks will be provided.
Please congregate in front of the food bank at 8:45. Volunteer groups will be turned away if not on
time.
Event is limited to 15 people. Click here to join the volunteer team.
Please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Also, it is very important that you wear CLOSED-TOED SHOES otherwise you will not be able to volunteer at the food bank.
