A SKYLIT DRIVE (Tragic Hero Records)
A Skylit Drive is an American post-hardcore band from Lodi, California. The band has released one DVD, one EP and four studio albums: Wires...and the Concept of Breathing (2008), Adelphia (2009), Identity On Fire (2011) and recently Rise (2013). The band consists of Michael Jagmin (lead vocals), Nick Miller (lead guitar), and Kyle Simmons (keyboards, rhythm guitar). The band has toured internationally both as headliner and support-act. Rise sold over 10,000 copies in its first week of release, leaving Jagmin to comment that the album had "caught on faster than the other ones". In MarchApril 2014 they were a support-act on the Memphis May Fire "The Unconditional Tour". They also announced that they would once again be performing on Warped Tour for the 2014 season.
THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS
One of the few screamo bands to land a Top 40 pop hit, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus formed in 2003 in Middleburg, Florida. After writing and rehearsing for 18 months, the bandmembers were urged by several friends to pursue their music seriously. This encouragement led the guys to book themselves several local shows, to the quick embrace of their hometown scene. As the buzz grew, the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus recorded their first EP and began relentlessly spreading their name around Florida.
WOLVES AT THE GATE (Solid State Records)
WATG formed in a college dorm room in 2008 at Cedarville University in Ohio, recording their first demos in the basement of a funeral home. The band released the We Are the Ones EP in 2010, recorded while at an impasse that found them wondering if they should continue. They caught the attention of Tooth & Nail/Solid State, for whom they released a properly recorded full-length album (2012's Captors). They issued a Christmas single ("The King"), and recorded the Back to School EP to pay homage to bands that have inspired them and to help fans understand the influences that shaped WATG's music.
BREAKING THROUGH
Breaking Through is an alternative/modern rock band that started in the summer of 2011. They are five friends that were scattered in the Jacksonville, Florida music scene, all with a slight taste of success in previous endeavors. During the summer they met up at parties and would jam in various band rooms for fun. After a few sessions they had discovered a sound and energy that they just weren't finding anywhere else! A natural balance between being steady and risking it all, pushing to the edge and then bringing it back, which is the core tension at the heart of the "Breaking Through" sound and has become their identity.
