Farm to Fork tours are engaging educational tours open to the public that highlight local farmers and ranchers and show sustainability in action. Join us on our next FARM to FORK TOUR on Saturday, Oct. 23rd. Meet at 9 am for morning snack at Gather Restaurant (www.gatherrestaurant.com), one of the best organic restaurants in Berkeley. Then discover where the food on your fork is grown and raised at local CSA (community supported agriculture) farms: RiverDog Farms, Fully Belly Farms, and Farm Fresh to You (Capay Fruits & Vegetables). Learn about local food sources and the nitty-gritty of how sustainable farmers care for the earth while bringing delicious food to your table. Shake hands with the people that make it happen!
The tour departs AND concludes at Gather Restaurant, next to the Brower Center, at the corner of Oxford St. and Allston Way in Berkeley. Register early to reserve your seat, this is a popular tour.
Cost: $95/ Ticket (can be exchanged for another tour if you need to cancel)

We'll be travelling to the beautiful Capay Valley to learn how local sustainable farmers care for the land, while bringing food to your table. We'll enjoy a delicious boxed lunch from Gather Restaurant and the bounty of the autumn harvest.
The Organization:
Bay Area Green Tours' mission is to provide educational tours that demonstrate the sustainable economy in action, inspire support of local green businesses, and empower people to incorporate environmental responsibility and social justice into their personal and professional lives. Bay Area Green Tours will craft tours specific to your company, group or organization.
