Harvard Club Welcomes Peter Nisbet to the Ackland Museum

Peter Nisbet, former Daimler-Benz Curator of Harvard's Busch-Reisinger Museum, was appointed Chief Curator of the Ackland Art Museum at UNC-Chapel Hill in late 2009. Harvard Club members will welcome Nisbet to North Carolina at a private event at the Ackland on Wednesday, July 14.
Participants will also have the opportunity to take guided tours of Fortune Smiles: The Tyche Foundation Gift, an exhibition that opened in May. The exhibit features 51 works of art, representing the most significant acquisition in the history of the Ackland Art Museum. The works were donated by Charles Millard MA '63, PhD '71, an avid collector, connoisseur, and former director of the Ackland (1986-93). Millard will also grace us with his presence at this exclusive Harvard event. Don't miss out!
Agenda for Wednesday, July 14:
6:00 p.m. - 6:35 p.m. Check-in; Meet-and-greet with wine and hors d'oeuvres reception
6:35 p.m. - 6:50 p.m. Brief remarks in the Yager Gallery with Peter Nisbet and other Ackland Museum staff
6:50 p.m. - 7:50 p.m. Two to three guided tours (15-20 minutes each) of the Fortune Smiles exhibit.
Note: Reception will run through the entire evening. Other museum exhibits will also be open for viewing.
