Queer in the U.S.A. by Manuel Simons

EXIT Theatre
San Francisco, CA

Johnny, young and gay, hungers to follow in the footsteps of his hero -- Bruce Springsteen. The only problem is that his soprano voice sounds more like Barbra Streisand than The Boss. He sets off for NYC where lovers, musicians, and gypsies challenge him to rock out loud. The Faux-Real Theatre Company, hailed as one of Time Out's "Top Reasons to Love New York Theatre" makes its San Francisco debut with an electrifying new solo play. One actor transforms into 8 different characters to tell an unforgettable story. A funny, poignant tour de force that will sweep you off your feet!  Presented by The Faux-Real Theatre Company. Part of the 2010 San Francisco Fringe Festival.
