The Dark Season, inspired by Macbeth
EXIT Studio San Francisco, CA
The Dark Season is a multidisciplinary theater work inspired by Shakespeare's Macbeth, itâs a focused and penetrating portrayal of Shakespeare's most psychologically complex characters in a ruthlessly honest conversation on the potential and frailties of human nature.
In a choral composition, artists with diverse backgrounds including drama, dance, writing, music, film, visual and digital arts investigate the themes of ambition, delusion, violence and prophecy, and apply them to the concerns of our current social and human landscape. In this interpretation transformation wins over destruction.
Part of the 2010 San Francisco Fringe Festival.
