Stop the Gush Benefit Concert featuring Careless Hearts and Tin Cat
Stop the Gush, a benefit concert to raise money for families affected by the Gulf oil spill and for advocacy in support of renewable energy, will feature Careless Hearts and Tin Cat in a twohour, intimate MTVstyle concert. Don't miss the chance to hear two of the Bay Area's best independent bands.
Proceeds from the concert will be donated to Global Green USA (www.globalgreen.org) to help document the impact of the oil spill on the lives and livelihood of Louisiana fishermen and their families and to the Bay Area Climate Collaborative, BACC, (www.baclimate.org) for advancing clean energy solutions including electric vehicles.
The Deep Water Horizon blowout served Americans a wallop of a wake up call. We now realize our dependency on oil is costing us far more than what we are paying at the pump. Stop the Gush seeks to use the power of music to raise awareness of the future we face ecologically, economically and culturally, if we continue our dependency on oil.
This unique concert will be held at San Jose's Theatre on San Pedro Square. Seating is very limited, so buy tickets today.
