Cook & Grow Pre-Valentines Day Dinner and Fundraiser
Cook and Grow will be hosting its 1st Pre-Valentines Day Dinner and Fundraiser with guest speaker, renowned chef 2 time James Beard Foundation Award winner, and CEO of Wholesome Wave Michel Nischan on February 6th at 6pm at the Lincoln Tech School for Culinary Arts. 8 Progress Drive in Shelton, CT. This event will showcase the culinary acumen of the Cook & Grow chef instructors and partners with an outstanding menu.
Food will be prepared by Dave Eccleston co-owner of Michelin Star rated American Cuisine restaurant "Elberta" in Crown Heights Brooklyn. Also Chef instructor Philip Bianco, Chef instructor William Paternoster, and Chef Ted Redos.
Your menu is as follows:
A trio of Egg Rolls. Veggie, Chicken, and Shrimp w/a ponzu sauce
A Winter Salad. Mixed greens with mandarin and blood orange, gala apples, and beets w/a sherry vinaigrette.
Entree's: A choice of Fire grilled Filet Mignon w/asparagus drizzled with hollandaise sauce, pureed potato's w/crispy fennel.
Pan Seared Salmon w/polenta and spinach served over a Beurre Blanc sauce.
Vegetarian option: Quinoa w/assorted mushrooms, kale w/ creme fraiche.
Dessert: Bavarian Cream with assorted berries.
+Each entree shall be accompanied by a paired wine of our choice.
+PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR CHOICE OF ENTREE WITH YOUR RESERVATION.
Cost $65 per person / $120 per couple
All proceeds go to benefit the Cook & Grow cooking and gardening program.
