Adult Class - Field Sketching/Watercolor Nature Journal
Try your hand sketching like an early naturalist, combining a scientific eye with artistic beauty! Observe and document wildflowers and wildlife and landscape views and vistas in a ramble at the Sandia Mountain Natural History Center, the Museums environmental education facility in Cedar Crest, NM.
Designed for beginners to professionals. This is a two-session class held at the MuseumÃÃ,¢s Sandia Mountain Natural History Center. You must pre-register. A box lunch is provided both days. Registrants will receive a supply list and directions to the Center. Classes will not be canceled due to inclement weather.
Cynthia Padilla is an internationally known botanical artist/naturalist illustrator. She paints highly detailed renderings of plants, flowers and natural science subjects, drawn to scale, colors mixed and matched to the exacting standards of the strict art form. She is sought internationally for exhibits, research projects, book & product reviews, lectures and as a travel leader on sketching tours worldwide.
