Bay City Saginaw River Ecology Sails
Wenonah Park Bay City, MI
The Saginaw Bay and Saginaw River form part of the largest contiguous freshwater wetland in the United States. As we travel South on the Saginaw River you will see a host of flora and fauna, including snowy egrets and bald eagles. You will also view the powerful impact of the spread of invasive wetland plants that are changing this vital habitat. A delicious Schooner Stew will be served as we travel the river. Narration included. Note: Sailing will be limited due to the restrictions of the waterway.
Note: If you would like to request a vegetarian meal, please call prior to purchasing your ticket.
Dress is casual. Parking available in Wenonah Park.
Terms: All sales are final. This is a non-refundable ticket. All sails are rain or shine. In the event of dangerous weather that prevents the ship from departing, we will issue a rain check good for a future sail of equal value.
Safety: The ship is a licensed passenger vessel commanded by a US Coast Guard licensed captain. The ship is equipped with life saving and firefighting equipment. Emergency procedures are explained before every departure.
Tip: Bring an extra layer of clothing, it is always cooler out on the water!
