It's hard to believe, but yes, this is the fifth annual Big Ten Block Party! This time we're taking up residence at Solar One - outdoors right on the East River promenade. Learn more about them at http://solar1.org/
In the great tradition of Midwest block parties, we will once again be providing a wide range of Sixpoint beers and our friends from Bark (www.barkhotdogs.com) will be grilling burgers, meat and meatless hot dogs, and brats.
Sixpoint Craft Ales was founded in Brooklyn, NY, in November 2004 by two University of Wisconsin alums and also features a Penn State graduate. It is only natural that we would continue to host a BIG TEN BLOCK PARTY for our fellow BIG TEN ALUMS.
Among the beers available for this event will be Sweet Action, Apollo Wheat Bark Ale and Bengali Tiger IPA.
Advance Purchase Price: $30.00 (includes unlimited Sixpoint beers and two generous plates of food courtesy of Brooklyn's Bark Hot Dogs, as well as DJ sets provided by BIG TEN alumni).
Please note there are no refunds for this event, as we need to purchase the food in advance and this is directly based on number of tickets sold. Thanks! And see you there!
Make sure you buy your ticket in advance. We expect this event to sell out and space is limited. If you don't buy your tickets in advance, we can't guarantee that we will be able to accommodate you, so please plan accordingly so you will not be disappointed.
A processing fee of $1.99 will be added to your order (this fee is charged by brownpapertickets.com). $31.99 will be charged to your credit card. On the day of the event, simply present your ID and you will be handed a wristband and two tickets redeemable for 2 plates of food.
NOTE: Due to the need to order food supplies and other arrangements that need to be made, there are no refunds unless the event is canceled. Thanks for your understanding.
DIRECTIONS:
Solar One is conveniently located in Manhattan on the East River and 22nd Street. Take any train that stops at 23rd street and then hop on the M23 going eastbound to get to Solar One.
