Letters Aloud presents: "WITH OR WITHOUT YOU - letters of loving longing and leaving"
Letters Aloud, Seattle's exciting new reading series, will be performing last year's popular Valentine's Day episode, "With Or Without You" at the brand new 12th Ave Arts building in Capitol Hill. Featuring steamy letters from Henry Miller and Anais Nin, lustful letters of longing From Virginia Woolf, Frida Kahlo and Marlon Brando, dirty old man letters from Charles Bukowski, dirty young man letters from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and one of our absolute favorites: a heartfelt break up letter from a teenage Slash from Guns 'N Roses.
Each episode of Letters Aloud focuses on a central theme with letters from every era carefully chosen to explore that theme, creating a thoughtful, profound, touching and funny-as-hell live performance. Come join host and curator Paul Morgan Stetler, along with some of Seattle's finest actors, for this provocative handshake with the past and perhaps even learn a thing or two about the true meaning of love from a bygone era.
