CTE presents and evening of absurdist plays performed by Advanced Drama students. "Interview", by Jean Claude Van Itallie, is directed by Julianna Rees. It is described as a "fugue" for eight actors that looks at modern society and dehumanization. It is a masterful interweaving of individuals and group interactions that underline the human experience in urban settings.
"The Future Is In Eggs" is a gem of an absurdist comedy with very important ideas about society's expectations regarding heredity and productivity. Ionesco incorporates his playful language and absurd situations in such an entertaining, provocative style that makes his works absurdist masterpieces.
All performances are at 7:00 PM in the Caldwell Theatre, located at the back of Tamalpais HIgh School's campus. Seating is open. Doors open at 6:30 to claim your seat on a first-come, first served basis.
