Duranged Nights
The Mobtown Theater Baltimore, MD
The Mobtown Players bring you two one-act comedies from the hilarious mind of Christopher Durang! For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls
In this parody of Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie, we find Amanda, the quintessential Southern woman, preparing for a very special evening. Her son Tom is bringing home a young woman for his reclusive brother Lawrence to meet. But much to Amanda's dismay, Lawrence would rather play with his collection of glass cocktail stirrers.
The Actor's Nightmare
After mistakenly wandering onstage, George is informed that one of the actors has been in car accident and he must replace him immediately. Unfortunately for George, no one seems to be able to tell him what play is being performed, and he can't recall ever attending a single rehearsal. Is he supposed to be Hamlet? Will he say the proper lines? Will he ever wake up?
