| Description |
"We Are All Americans" features works to be performed by Seattle Peace Chorus at the 2007 Festival Internacional de Coros in Venezuela. The music, selected to emphasize the common bond of North, Central and South Americans, includes the premier of a work based on the epic poem of Langston Hughes, "Let America Be America Again." This powerful composition by Frederick West, SPC Musical Director, addresses many important issues of our times. The other major piece, "Processional Prayer" was written by Ysay Barnwell of Sweet Honey in the Rock and Venezuela composer Jackeline Rago. The Seattle Peace Chorus will be accompanied by baritone soloist, piano, percussion and a brass ensemble.
