The Spice of Life: Aromatic Cooking with Kathy FitzHenry
In this olfactory explosion of a class, you will discover how to make, blend, and use spices central to Indian and Middle Eastern Cooking. Kathy FitzHenry, whose garam masala and vindaloo mixes dazzled us at March's Spice Dinner, will lead participants through an interactive class that will include historical, nutritional, and culinary information. Students will make their own spice blend and leave with a special set of recipes to try at home.
Kathy FitzHenry owns Juliet Mae Fine Spices and Herbs, a San Francisco company specializing in hand-blended and hard to find spices. Kathy started Juliet Mae with the desire to help people create delicious food to share with good friends around the dinner table.
