Cultural Competence and The Impact of Stereotypes provides participants with a framework and language for developing  their cultural competence.  Through interactive exercises, video and lecture participants examine the   effects of stereotypes and how it impacts cross cultural relationships.  Question like how are we perceived by others?  What  messages do we hear about who we are?  How are people of differing ethnicities portrayed in media?  How this effects us and our relationships with one another are all explored in this workshop.
Learning Outcomes:
Participants will
Learn a framework for addressing issues of equity and race
Develop common language for entering in discourse
Increase their awareness of the impact of stereotypes.
