Story Club Minneapolis 2-26
This month, we are very glad to feature slam champion Ollie Renee Schminkey and the illustrious due Raw Sugar. Ollie Renee Schminkey is a genderqueer poet/activist who is the director of the Macalester Poetry Slam and (as an official Word Sprout collaborator) the founder of the weekly poetry workshop Well-Placed Commas. Raw Sugar (Rebekah Rentzel and Jenny Moeller) seeks to create an open space of uninhibited imagination to flourish. Founded in 2009, they developed their own fun, physical storytelling style in the show 'It's Only Funny to Us.' Three audience members get a chance to tell their own story; sign up for the open mic raffle before the show.
