Edible World: The Spice Necklace

Calypso at the Chestnut Hill Farmers Market
Philadelphia, PA

First Person Arts cooks up another Edible World program with delicious food and storytelling, pairing the exotic cuisine of Trinidad with a new Caribbean travelogue/memoir.

Spices will abound at an authentic Trinidadian dinner prepared by Claudette Campbell, owner and chef of Calypso, and served al fresco at the Chestnut Hill Farmers Market.

Author Ann Vanderhoof will illustrate the history behind these diverse flavors and regale guests with tales of adventurous eating, as described in her new book "The Spice Necklace: My Adventures in Caribbean Cooking, Eating and Island Life."

Chef Campbell will reveal the culinary journey that took her from Trinidad to New York to Chestnut Hill.
