Mystic Chorale "The Long Walk to Freedom" led by Nick Page
Converse Hall at the Tremont Temple Boston, MA
The 200+ voices of the Mystic Chorale led by Nick Page celebrate the music of South Africa. Much has changed in S. Africa since Nelson Mandela was elected in 1994 but not the power of its music to move mountains and empower the soul. The songs, in both English and Zulu, will reflect ninety years of South African choral music beginning with the song Mbube (which became The Lion Sleeps Tonight) and ending with songs that have evolved since Apartheid was abolished including new music drawn from the struggle to fight AIDS.
