Bathala Na!
Bathala Na! is a daughter and mother's story... Travelling from a birthing hut in Africa to a deathbed in the Philippines, it is one woman's history of the body, cancer, grief, and the life-giving beat of the ancestral drums that can save her. Can our nurse jump through heartbreak and dance toward a daughter of her own? This unique and universal experience is told through West African dance, spoken word storyelling, and the rhythmic tongues of the Mali and Mindanao. An intensely personal and unexpectedly hilarious tale that will leave you dancing!
