Uplift With Literature: More Than Tea with Dr. Ni
Six weeks of literary study designed to tap your spiritual core and end the dissonance between your inner voice and your conscious mind. Study characters in tough situations and analyze how they overcome as well as what YOU would do in similar scenarios. Emerge with a deep understanding of how to face challenges and with your inner core strengthened so that you face life head-on!!!
We will start with the short stories of Earnest Hemingway, John Edgar Wideman, Chester Himes and Toni Cade Bambara. We might also take a peek at the poetry of Sonia Sanchez and Dr. Ni herself. All books and CD will be provided for you at no additional cost.
The workshop will meet every Saturday from July 18th - August 22nd, 2015; 2-5 p.m. A short lunch break will be provided and healthy snacks will be on hand!!!
