What To Say When They Say The Words We Hate: A Literary/Spiritual Tea with Dr. Ni
Stop hating young people and the language they use; instead, try to understand what is present and what is absent in their lives and put yourself into the mix. Everyone talks about positive role models, but too few actively address the absence of good, solid role models who PAY ATTENTION to the young people who surround them. Listen to Dr. Ni's views on what is needed and learn how you can change the young people around you through love and positive attention.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Dr. Niama L. J. Williams is a published writer who possesses degrees in comparative literature, professional writing and African American literature. Through workshops at the University of Pennsylvania and the African American Museum, and her 17+ years as a professor of literature and composition, Dr. Williams has practiced bringing adults of all ages to a new depth of honesty in their work, and seeks to bring that quality to others stifled by their everyday lives.
