Timeline:

Feb 16--registration opens
March 16--Pick-up assignment @ IMAGE between 6pm and 7pm
March 16-18--filmmaking
March 18--Turn in completed film to the designated location by 9pm
March 20-21--screenings @ the Plaza Theatre; voting
March 23-April 17--Online screenings; wild card voting
April 19-28--Finalists compete for Grand Prize at Atlanta Film Festival

IMAGE introduces Rapid i Movement a weekend filmmaking experience open to the first 50 teams who register. Completed films will be screened at the Plaza Theatre and award winning films will be included in the 2007 Atlanta Film Festival as well as receive awesome prizes.

Registration closes March 9. The cost is only $50.

Rapid "i" Movement filmmaking weekend is March 16-18, 2007.

A representative from each team must attend the "kick-off" on Friday, March 16, 6pm @ IMAGE - 535 Means Street

Teams can include as many team members as desired. A maximum of 50 teams can participate. A package of rules & release forms will be given to each team as well as specific criteria to incorporate into their film. Each team then has 50 hours to write, produce, edit, score and master the final film. Films must be between 5 and 7 minutes in running time, and may be shot on any format, but must be delivered on DVD, region 1 or 0.

All completed films must be delivered to the designated location no later than 9pm Sunday, March 18. No films will be accepted after the deadline.

Films will be screened in 4 screening sessions:

Group A--Tuesday March 20, 7:30 pm at the Plaza Theatre.
Group B--Tuesday March 20, 9:30 pm at the Plaza Theatre.
Group C--Wednesday March 21, 7:30 pm at the Plaza Theatre.
Group D--Wednesday March 21, 9:30 pm at the Plaza Theatre.

Audience choice will determine which films will advance to the finals by voting for their favorites at each screening.

Finalists will compete for a Grand Prize at the 31st Atlanta Film Festival, April 19-28, 2007!

All Rapid i Movement films will be uploaded to the IMAGE Web site after public screenings. Viewers can VOTE online for their favorites. THREE wild-card selections will be added to the Finalists to compete for the Grand Prize at the Atlanta Film Festival. (Finalists may also be broadcast on Comcast Video-on-Demand!)
