"Swedish Auto" is an unconventional relationship drama centering on a small-town mechanic who gets vicarious pleasure from watching a beautiful violinist from the nearby university, only to discover that a seemingly innocuous young woman whom he encounters daily at the local diner is similarly observing him at the same time. When he forms a relationship with the latter girl, he is drawn into the dark secret of her home-life, and is compelled to confront a world that he has always avoided.
