Catch Me if You Can
The John Waldron Arts Center Chicago, IL
The James Downing Theatre on Chicago's Northwest Side presents the comedy-thriller, "Catch Me if You Can."
In this enjoyable comedy-thriller, by Robert Thomas, adapted from the French Version by Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert, adman Daniel Corban's wife of 2 weeks is missing after a trifling lovers' quarrel. When she turns up a few days later, there's only one problem, Daniel doesn't recognize her. What ensues is a surrealistic game of cat and mouse as the local detective tries to sort out whom to believe. Set in the heart of New York State's Catskill Mountains, this gripping play shows how one man's dream can be another's nightmare.
The production, directed by Mark Brewer, includes cast members: Brendan Siegfried as adman Daniel Corban, Krista Damico as his wife, and Lee Wichman as the investigating detective. Larry Filas, Valerie Heckman, Floyd A. May and Steve Mongulla round out the talented cast. Lighting design is by Steve Kedzierski and costume design is by Valerie Heckman. Melissa Fox is the stage manager and Joshua Dlouhy is the producer.
