Musical Explorations of Messier Star Clusters and Nebulae

Composer/pianist Bruce Lazarus presents a selection of his solo piano pieces inspired by the deep-sky objects cataloged by the 18th-century French astronomer Charles Messier. Bruce Lazarus is a composer interested in science, particularly astronomy. He studied composition at Juillard and earned his PhD in music theory at Rutgers University. Dr. Lazarus currently teaches at Marymount Manhattan College and is the Music Coordinator for the Mark Morris Dance Group.
