Girl Justice Training - February 20, 2015 - 12-5pm

Girl Justice is an interactive one-day workshop hosted and facilitated by Powerful Voices who has been serving adolescent female identified youth since 1995. Our gender-specific and strengths-based work is rooted in social justice. This training will strengthen your girl justice analysis as we:

*Explore our own relationships to privilege and oppression
*Deconstruct messages embedded in the socialization of girls in American culture
*Strengthen our analysis of the intersections of oppressions girls face (including adultism)
*Practice strength-based approaches
*Become better adult allies to youth

WHO should attend:
School staff
Juvenile justice staff
Youth workers
Mentors/allies
Guardians
Male-identified allies needed and welcome

COST: $50 Early Bird Fee - Register by January 19

$60/ per person after January 19

NEW! Group rate: Are you registering 2-5 staff members from same organization?  $40/per person (Early Bird fee by January 19) $50/per person after January 19

COST INCLUDES:
*Curriculum packet with 7 lesson plans on community building, identity, values, challenging gender boxes, positive girl culture, medial literacy, and healthy relationships!
* Snacks and drinks
NOTE: Fee is non-refundable upon purchase, but can be used as credit toward a future training.
